Stop posting one-offs. Build a series.

57% of people say they want brands posting original content series. Almost nobody does it.

Most brand feeds are a pile of unrelated posts. A promo, a quote, a repost, a food shot, a holiday greeting. Each one starts from zero and has to earn attention on its own — which is an exhausting way to run an account.

The alternative is the oldest idea in media: a format that repeats.

Why series work

57% of consumers say they want brands to post original content series, and the reason is mechanical. A recurring format builds an expectation, and expectation produces return viewers. The second episode is easier to watch than the first, and the fifth is easier again. You stop paying full price for attention every single post.

It also makes production dramatically cheaper. A format is a template — same setup, same framing, same edit. Shoot four in an afternoon.

What a series looks like for a venue

It does not need to be clever. "One dish, one minute." "What our chef eats on his day off." "Members answer one question" for a club. A weekly staff pick. The constraint is the value: the audience knows what they are getting and when.

Polish is optional, consistency is not

Both raw phone-shot footage and fully produced work perform, as long as the format is episodic. What fails is the thing that appears once, does nothing, and gets abandoned by post three — which is the fate of almost every brand series that was never put on a calendar.

That is the entire trick, and it is why we plan a month at a time rather than a post at a time.
